Zips no longer close properly, sliders are missing, Velcro fasteners don’t stick tightly or stretch material has worn out. For cases like that, as well as damage caused by accidents, we offer our repair service for motorbike and outdoor clothing. After the repair, the seam and the membrane are sealed to make them waterproof. This means that the functionality of the piece of clothing will be maintained for many years to come! Alterations such as the length of the sleeves, the size of the waist or the thighs, etc. can also be made without a negative effect on the waterproof quality.

Standard sizes are great, but they don't always meet reality - no matter whether it's width, length or cut. The body changes, the clothes don't. If something doesn't fit 100%, it will be made to fit. We tailor your motorbike clothing to you. Club patches, emblems or other similar items can also be easily applied - on leather and on Gore-Tex® clothing.

Full service - cleaning and waterproofing! That's what you can expect from our refreshing service:

  • Performance check: for zips, snap fasteners, Velcro fasteners. Visual check for seams, tears, lining.

  • Cleaning: a specially developed cleaning process based on high-quality detergents, skin-friendly and pH-neutral, preserves the functionality of the material.

  • Waterproofing and care: after cleaning, this offers again ideal protection against wet weather and dirt. The right care guarantees the longevity of your clothes!

The designs of items of clothing vary a lot, accordingly the way they are manufactured does too. As we are an independent repair shop, we are presented with all kinds of motorbike and outdoor models. We know from experience that the same type of repair may require a varying amount of time, depending on how the item of clothing has been made.

Should you like a quote for repair or alteration services and can’t come to our shop in person, we recommend that you send your jacket, pair of trousers or motorbike suit to us, so that we can have a look at it. We will then give you a quote, either by e-mail or by phone. If the estimated costs are too high for you, we will return your item of clothing to you at our expense.

For the reliable delivery of your goods, we have found the right partner in Schenker.
The rates depend on weight and destination country, e.g. in Austria up to 5kg, € 5.50.

  1. Request a non-binding quote (optional)

  2. Download and fill in the repair form

  3. Pack the item of clothing and the repair form in one package

  4. Address the package to

FAQs

Yes, in several ways. First, you can continue wearing your cherished outfit. Second, a repair is cheaper than new functional clothing – and the VAT is lower on repairs! And third, it is for the good of the environment as we throw away too many things anyway. Read more about this in our blog article on repairing functional clothing.

One important thing to remember right from the start: you can't get around hand-washing your leather outfit. The best way to remove surface dirt is to moisten your leather clothes a little by using a spray bottle to soften the dirt - such as insect traces - and then remove the dirt with a cloth or sponge soaked in soapy water. Never use aggressive cleaners such as petroleum ether or the like for cleaning, as these harm the colour on the one hand and the leather itself on the other hand. Special leather cleaners are already of a very high standard and are available in specialised shops.

Cleaning the inner lining is best done in the shower. Simply hang your leather clothes up in the shower (remove all protectors and foam inserts beforehand) and rinse them with lukewarm water. Do not use any foaming detergents, as residues usually remain in the lining. After washing, suitable care products should be applied to grease the leather, otherwise it can become brittle and cracked. For the same reason, never let your leather pieces dry above the heater or in direct sunlight. It is best to dry them at room temperature.

Whether having something repaired pays off is always in the eye of the beholder. How valuable is the item of clothing to you? There are often big differences. Sometimes repairs for € 30 are rejected, but those for € 180 are done. So, it is primarily your perception of value that decides if repairing it is worth it. Repairs can start from € 5 and go up to € 250 or more. Depending on how much is damaged and how invisible and “hidden” the repair should be. However, we would like to point out that we very rarely recommend patching, but mostly sew over from seam to seam. A front zip, for example, costs € 50, the waterproof version € 64.
